What’s this worth?

A few years ago I bought this sk Wayne tool box full of mostly sk tools and some proto. Most of the stuff is in like new condition some of it is still in the original cardboard. The box itself is also in very good shape. I know I could “part” it out on eBay and do pretty good but, I’d rather sell it as a whole to someone locally. Anyone on here know what this might be worth or know someone that could help me put a value on it?

I saw a lot of SK and Proto stuff in the Navy. Decent quality, but we still broke them regularly. Probably same quality as Craftsman or Kobalt stuff. $250 worth of “new” stuff easy.

I don't know about SK, but Proto is definitely a step up from kobalt and Craftsman.

Fellas over on garagejournal forum will eat that stuff up. They have some serous tool collectors in that group.

I'd give you $100 for all of it. SK is good stuff. I'd guess thats around $300-500 to the right person, but they might be hard to find. Should be able to get $200-300 on somewhere like garagejournal like @josh m said. Maybe there is an SK forum. Ebay is an excellent place to get a baseline, but make sure you're looking at "sold listings" not just what is currently listed. You can ask anything you want, but that doesn't mean it will sell.

I went through the box this morning and made an itemized list of what’s in it. I am going to check completed listings on eBay to get an accurate value on most of the stuff. I understand that I will have to find the “right” buyer to pay me what I am going to want for it but, with some of the interest I have had in it over pm’s already I think it will be fairly easy to sell. @jeepinmatt i do appreciate your offer but I myself paid well over $100 for it at an estate sale. The sale was advertised online and the sk tool collection was one of the “front page” items. I showed up way early to be first in line so I could run in and grab it but, so did several others that showed up right behind me. I was the first to put hands on the box but, the salesman was going to let it go home with whoever brought the most cash with them. I don’t remember the exact amount but I think I paid $300-350 ish for it myself. I will probably try my luck on garagejournal if it doesn’t sell to the few that have already expressed interest. Thanks
