What’s your New Year’s Eve plans?

Already done, went to Mt. Olive for the pickle drop, free hot chocolate, pickles and cookies. Pickle dropped at 7pm so I had time to stop and get some stuff for breakfast tomorrow and home now. Wife wants to watch ball drop, I told here go to bed, look up and count down from 10, she didn't think I was funny.
 
Took the kiddo over to my parents and had dinner, the shot off some fireworks. Now I'm home chilling with the wife on the couch, about to watch the last 2 episodes of Walking Dead. Kinda like many other Sunday evenings, but with the sound of freedom as the backdrop.
 
Wife worked until 7:45 so me and Peanut hung out with Gma and Papa until she got home. Peanut is in bed and the wife probably won't make it until midnight. I will just because I can't remember the last time I was asleep before midnight lol.

We went to a friends, ate and raced slot cars. Set of fireworks at midnight, gave the wife a kiss and drove home at 25 mph on a sheet of ice.
 
Group of friends and family.
Ate, played cards, ate, games, talked gossiped, ate , watched the ball drop, ate ..... left around 1 am.
Same thing for 31 years ..... same people for 29.
3 families, we rotate location every year.

If you got your hot chocolate and pickles from the back gate,my wife was working that area.She had on a bright red hoodie dippin out the swill.

I did, real friendly group working that tent. Our second year going to the pickle drop, they keep it simple and fun, and we get home before 9pm. Tell her thanks, we enjoyed it!

Well I was right. NyQuil knocked me out around 10:30. Woke up to terrified mini dashunds at 12:05 with a major war going on outside.

Fixin to sit down to slow cooked pork butt, collards, black-eyed peas, corn bread, and fat back!

Myself and a few good friends steamed oysters and hung out in the basement until almost 12 then went upstairs and toasted the countdown. My daughter was stoked that she made it until the countdown for the first time in her 10 years. Getting ready to go for a family hike now and hopefully burn a little powder in F.I.L.'s pistol pit a little later. Happy New Year NC4X4!

Some of my close friends got married... Pretty awesome wedding/reception. Drinking and Festivities started around 230-3. At 6 pm a tour bus arrived and 48 of us loaded up from Greensboro to head to Raleigh for the Avett Brothers Concert. Suits and all. We also loaded a keg, a dozen bottles of wine, and several bottles of liquor. The bus driver had no idea what he was in for hahaha.
Absolutely wild night. Amazing performance from the Avett's. One of the best weddings and best NYE's of my life.

If you've ever thought about doing a keg stand in the middle of a bus going down the highway... Think again. Bus driver taps brakes and bodies hit the floor.

We arrived back in GSO around 330... No one was seriously injured.

Happy new year to all... from my Desk at work because Dealerships don't know what Holidays are.
 
Spent NYE day working w/ my son to build a set of jumping/climbing bases for his "kinetic ninja" training, then went to some friends' pary for dinner/wine/standing around a fire in the very very cold, shot off fireworks ~10pm for all the kiddos there, went home tipsy, watched TV as a fam until the new year (it was our 7 y/o daughter's first time staying up), wife and daughter were in bed by 12:10, then played video games w/ my son until 2:30am.
Hard to get up this morning.
Then spend ~3 hours at a neighbor block party (where everybody stayed indoors b/c its too freaking cold outside)
