When I was little and family still did hog killings, my grandpa would test the vat of boiling water with his hands to make sure it was right temp. to put hog in. He would just skim the top of it with his fingers and not act like that. Could not tell anything was burnt. All the old men did this.

I think that guy was bull a little or not as tough as my grandpa
