I'm wondering what ALL do i need to buy to complete my lift..

I have a '99 chevy silverado 1500 2wd reg cab stepside. I'm looking to buy a 6" suspension lift, either from rough country, fabtech or pro comp. and a 3" body lift kit, I'm also planning on running 38" super swampers.
but what I want to know is, do I need rear shocks, new barrings(not too informed about what all those do and that stuff), new axles?? and other things that I don't even know about probably.. do I need to upgrade all that stuff and need more things than I need, and a price range possibly? Thanks.

You will definitely need new shocks, but they will most likely come in the lift kit. If you're not planning on off roading it (2wd) You will probably be OK with the rear axle that is in it. (I'm assuming it's a 10 bolt). You will probably run into ball joint issues down the road with the heavier tires, and possibly trans linkage issues with a body lift that tall.

Also I'm sure there is a bunch of cut off old and weld on new stuff for the front. How good a welder are you? Cause you don't want the front suspension to break off going around a corner. As for price, I'd guess $1500 or so for lift, etc and another $1-2k for tires depending on where you find them.

thanks!
i do plan on mudding a litle bit but not deep or anything.. should i just upgrade the ball joints right away? or is it expensive?
i could get someone to help me with the cutting/welding, but im not planning on putting on the lift myself

show, and getting stuck is the best part of muddin haha..
i think im just gonna go with a 3" body lift and 32's? or if i can stuff 33s in and not rub..? because I cant come up with the $ quick enough for my liking.
