What's the opinion on the best ball joints for the TJ Rubicon? I'm running 37's and the factory ball joints are wearing quickly. Just rolled over 37k on the trip to Harlan last weekend and they are getting sloppy.

Hard to go wrong with a set of Spicer or even Moog. Make sure they have a lifetime warranty since you'll need to replace them with 37s regardless of brand.
The Dynatrac ones are great but for something that is honestly a maintenance item, I'd go with a decent quality set and plan to replace them occasionally.

Not directly related but I just went theough the debate of which ball joints to buy for my truck (97 2500 cummins) after extensive research I came to some conclusions. A.) all ball joints except Carlo or dynatrac are using a nylon / plastic liner. B.) some are greasable (better) some are not (worse) C.) carli or dynatrac are the only non plastic inserts on the market but you pay$$$ D.) how long you intend on keeping your rig should dictate your choice of replacement parts. Fwiw I went with Napa premium as they had the best reputation and warranty for my truck. Just my .02 though

I put a set of Dynatracs on the Dodge after a new set of Moogs only lasted a couple of years. When the JK axles are due, I'm going to be hard pressed to pick anything else.

For a stock TJ axle I have trouble making the same argument. Unless it's solidly built, you're probably going to bend the housing before you oval out the ball joint bores (@1983Bronco might be the exception here).

I am running a set of synergy ball joints in the Jk, they have held up good. Of course dynatrac is going to be the best, but very expensive. I'd say most are prob all made in the same factory with different names on them.
