what are yall doing for the 4th?

I was at URE last year on the 4th. It was like a ghost town, nobody there. I don't mind wheelin' in the heat, the grand has AC. The camping was nice, nobody around to bother us, and the fireworks on the lake were pretty good also.

Some how I spend every holiday at the station. But its what I love doing.

Prolly take a truck to the parade and grill some steaks and hope no one blows themself up.

Dylan - GO TO LEWISVILLE.

One of the biggest well-known 'secrets" of Forsyth Countyis that the Townof Lewisville has the biggest, best fireworks show in the whole area, by FAR. Or at least they did for the 6 years we lived there.
it's actually one of the primary annual budget listing for the town council.

People fill (pack) that little square area that's between the circle and Lewisville Clemmons road. They shoot the fireworks over the field that's between there and the Food Lion.
You'll see people staking out spots w/ chairs the day before...

Things get startedearly afternoon, they have bands, clowns, etc. lots of groups set up and grill, I think you can call the town and reserve a spot. There will be people there selling food, cokes etc in the evening too.
If we were in NC, that is where we'd go.

Now remember I've missed teh last 2 :shaking: but that's how it was.
Surely somebody from that area willc hime in.
But if you look up teh town page and just call them, the lady that runs the office (remember the "town hall" is only like 4 people, lol) is really nice.

Yeah, Tanglewood has decent fireworks still but the last couple of years I have heard of people going to lewisville instead along with Ratlabguy saying they're good so we may do that.

We always have a family/friend cookout and used to do fireworks in our court until our neighbor's rescued dog flipped shit everytime one went off so we cant do that anymore. Now we just drive someplace to see them and it just aint the same as doing it yourself
 
so i am way to excited about my trip to Europe and cruise (first time overseas and first time on a cruise!)

I'll have a camera so I should come back with a bunch of pics, and I will def. share! Yall have a great 4th and celebrate a little extra for me since I wont be in the States...

Sucks that I wont be here for my favorite holiday but this is the only time the Army would give my brother a long enough break!

Having a big cookout with friends on Friday, that way I don't overlap with anyones family plans, after the cookout probably party a little bit, play a few drinking games... Mooresville with the Family for the 4th.

Man I feel your pain, 4th of July 3 years ago I had gone to TN and bought some monster morders, lol, Im talking the ground shook. I go out to set them off, setup at around 11:55 on the 3rd, Launched 3 morders at 12:00 on the dot. Granted, it wasn't the right thing to do exactly, but take a chill pill folks. The next night a sheriff came by around 6:30 and told me that it would be in my best interest not to set any fireworks off since I had been warned the night before. What kind of bullshit is that.

Cops were at my house within 15 minutes and a mob of angry niebors saying "Lock him up"

Glad I moved out of that nieborhood full of morons, change your oil in the driveway and you get an angry letter saying "Auto Maintenance is not allowed outside, some consider it an eyesore"
 
Dylan come on down Friday night with me to Troy and watch the Demolition Derby. The whole dang town goes and watches. Its an annual affair over near the jail. Then watch the parade Saturday, GF's daughter is going to be in it. I got my boy this weekend and we gonna wheel sometime.... I'm sure. And I think watch Fireworks one of those days. Got a few choices as to where to go to watch being where we are.

Spending the weekend at the lake. Boat, jet ski's, grill, etc. Should be a good time.
 
im going camping with a bunch a friends and about 20 girls from Hooters!!!
ill be sure to take some pics and post a thread about my weekend!
i would look into camping and wheeling since its not too hot this weekend. i would be on the trail for sure if i wasnt goin camping in VA, but hey can you blame me?? go wheeling with a bunch of dudes, or go camping and swimming with hot single hooters girls??

All bullshit aside, Whats wrong with going wheeling? They can take turns riding along, or 4 at a time if u got a back seat.
