What brand winch is this?

Got this with rollers, mount, and the working winch for $26 at a pick apart, needless to say I'm stoked! But what brand is it? Seems to be a 10,000 but I'm not a huge winch guy.

Yeah! That's it guys! Thanks. Now what would be the best way to wire up one of these up? A switch in my cab would be cool but I know a lot of guys run remotes. This is my first winch. Pretty damn good for $26

Yes.

But I'm a fan of a contactor in place of the solenoid pack.

Wow, you guys are easy to confuse. That looks no more like a Ramsey than it looks like a MileMarker. It's a Harbor Freight/Chicago Electric 8000. You can tell by the raised ribs on the casings. I've got one on my trailer and it's pulled on everything I've ever asked it to.

Yep. Harbor Freight. The contactor is going to run you about $100, and the switch will be another $20-40, depending on what you go with. Was the solenoid box not mounted somewhere on the truck?

Agreed, I own one of these jewels too. Slowest winch on earth, but works just fine.

My serial number says RE.... So I though it was a Ramsey re idk. What's the main difference between the two?

Never mind I see the rib comment now, bummer! Hah thought I picked up an expensive one. Are these harbor freight ones still decent enough to throw on the front of my truck?
