Just replaced the old original soft top on my TJ. What can I make with the old fabric? Any ideas? Seems like a waste to throw it away.

I read one time you should keep a piece of your old top for patches on your new top. You could also have it turned into covers for your seats when your top is off and you are not in it to keep rain and dust out of your seats while camping. Just a thought.

Save it and put it on when you go wheelin. That way , roll overs, rips and tears from tree limbs don't matter as much.

fabric covers for tube doors...
maybe a hammock?

Get creative.

That's what he wants you to do :)
Make a vest for you and your woman to wear when you ride your Hawg?

hahaha!
I've got a soft top that got ripped when I slammed into a tree earlier this season, so I was wondering what I could do with it.

now I know! :p

but really, I like the seat cover idea. could always use it as a tarp or something, also.

I once made a bikini top out of an old soft top...could also make a grill, generator or mower/atv seat cover to keep the rain & sun off.

I would like to make a safari top ot of it, but how would I connect it to the windshield without using soft top frame?

I've used old soft top material to make a cover for my winch cable. Just cut out a rectangular piece the width of the spool and long enough to double over on itself, then secure it with a velcro strap or bungee. Spray some white grease on the cable and it will keep the cable from rusting. Did this for years until I got a synthetic cable.

I've also used them for general purpose tarps, just cut out the biggest flat piece you can. They also can be handy for a ground mat when working on your Jeep on the trail. Just roll it up and throw it in the back.
