Southbend all the way. On the second one in my f250. First southbend lasted 150000 with a lot of abuse, slipping the clutch, etc.

Sent with two cans and some string.

I've had great luck with Valair. Their customer service has been noted as being much better too. They cut me some slack on my second clutch even though ruining the first one was completely my fault. One of these days, I'll be getting a dual disc for the CUCV and then I'll really be able to see how well I can drag a weight sled :D

I also like their selection of friction materials more so than South Bend.

I'll be going with Southbend for the next one. I really don't think the Valair clutch I got the first time was rated as they claimed. It was done in 3500 mi:mad:

I'm running a Valair. Have about 40k on it now. I broke my factory clutch fork, David Minton at Mintons automotive 3Dcrawler on here replaced it and check the clutch, told me it had hardly any wear at all. Works great.

Peter at southbend has my vote! Been working with them for 7 years now, couldn't find a better bunch of people in this industry if you ask me!

I really don't think you could go wrong with either company. They're about the two best ones out there for the general public.

There are only so many ways to make a clutch for the same application and only so many materials to make it from. Price, availability, customer service, and experiences of others will probably be the deciding factor.
