I have have an '87 W150 Dodge shortbox that I've been working on for the last 18 months.
It has D60's front/rear, 360w/ezefi, TCI727, NP208, Goodyear 37x12.50x17's, 12k hydraulic winch, ARB OBA, 4" spring lift (stretched wheel openings), crossover steering and PSC ram-assist. The 60's have 4.10's but I'm going with 4.88's.

The truck is tagged and very streetworthy. I'm getting ready to get diffs/gears/axles and I'm looking for some feedback/advice. I've been to Uwharrie twice in the last 5 years and ran RML and Daniel both times in a Ramcharger with 4" lift/33's/Auburn rear/true-trac front. It did pretty well although I chose easier lines on the most difficult obstacles (Kodak, 3path, 3ay).

My goal is to try some harder lines but not with reckless abandon as my goal is to have a little fun, see the really capable rigs run and not break parts. I also want to maintain reasonable street manners. I've considered Detroit Lockers front and rear but I'm concerned about streetability and potential damage (on the street).

Right now I'm leaning towards a Powerlock for the front and a Detroit Locker (35 spline) rear.

Thanks in advance,
Eric

Detroits are fine on the street ... except in an inch or two of snow. Easier to run RWD than try to run locked/locked.

i've been super happy with my lockright in the rear of my yota on stock shafts on 37's. It will unload about once every 500 miles on the street and i look for parts to be laying on the ground but i never see any.

your yota is probably 1200-1500 lbs lighter too.
i'd love to run a yota but they're a bit small for my 6'4" frame.

I have a 44 and 9" in the XJ lockrights front and rear and the are fine on the road but yea evey once in a while it will unload if im turning and put my foot in it! i couldn't have said it better on what it sounds like! lol

ended up ordering a 35 spline detroit locker (chromo axles) for the back and a 35 spline powerlock for the front (+ 35 spline outers).
went with 4.88's to work with my 37's. a buddy of mine told my to remove the powerlock case bolts and install arp bolts, that was the only weak part of it.
