ill start out by introducing myself im Chris Ellis i started out sweeping the floor in the family owned shop where we rebuilt and repaired fire trucks. That where I started picking up mechanical and fabrication skills. Father got sick and had to close the company and I bounced around a race shop,suspension shop untill I landed at a dodge dealership and then spent a few more years at a big toyota dealership.
After I had all I could handle of the micro management I bailed out. In 2007 I started Buckeye Performance inc. And it was come and go so I took a part time position in the suspension and streetrod shop I had worked at 10 years before. The boss was on the same page about me gettin my business going strong while I was under him he was a big help and still sends me all of the gear and axle builds I used to do in his shop. Now I have been own my own for a good while and I love what I do.
I have full ase master credentials so regular repair and drivetrain work is no problem. I have the equipment to scan most vehicles just as I could at the dealers
I have been mig welding for over 20 years and tig welding for 8 years. I also have a 36" pressbrake that can do heavy gauge tranny tunnels and pans. I use a jd2 bender with air over hydro and im well stocked on die sets.
I love gear and axle work and I can do custom housings

Chris I heard you were building jeep adjustable control arms for good price? I'm also needing some steering done on my tj got some wobble and can't figure it out figured I'd get rid of the junk stock setup

Chris has done most of the work on my tj. It has a 2 1/2in lift with 1in body lift hp30 up front that has been sleeved gusseted and trussed with 4.88 gears with a Detroit true track locker. Custom lower and upper control arms. Dana 44 rear axle with 4.88 gears. I busted the housing of my np231 case and he was able to tear it down weld the cracks and it has had zero issues for over 3yrs. Wouldn't think twice about bringing Chris any project.

I also had what was left of a 1985 toyota pickup that I had cut the windshield and roof out of and originally took it to Chris to do a new cage but then we took it and cut out the frame and put a new cage to accommodate A rear bench seat. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to start the next project with Chris.

Chris has done some small work for me here and there, I seem to never have the funds for the bigger wants. He did however build me a traction bar. My old one had been broke and welded several times. The one he made for me is bomb proof. I have had zero u-joint failure, zero drive shaft issues, all since he made my traction bar. Say good-bye to axle wrap!
