what does all this mean???

mike burrell found it out for me
TJ - Has been referred to as "Trail Jeep" "Tough Jeep" "Top Jeep"

YJ - "Yuppie jeep" "Y did you put square head lights"
XJ -for sure stands for "X Over Jeep" Which means the first coil - leaf cross over.
MJ -"Military Jeep"

I'm sure they all can be traced back to the phrase "wish I would've bought a Toyota".

No way the first digit of your VIN is the country code on most all Jeeps it is a 1 for USA followed by manufacture code which should be a J.

There is no official LJ that is print media and web forums only.

In the shop some of the names we have are,
WJ wonder Jeep (wonder how it passed the Rubicon)
KJ Kute Jeep (marketing was after the females)
TJ terrible Jeep
ZJ Zebra Jeep
XJ excellent Jeep
JK JOKE
SJ shitty Jeep
YJ yesterdays Jeep
