What Ford diesel automatic transmission is this?...

Yeah, yeah...I should'a put this in the first post...I forgot...oh well...


The frame and body that are around it are not the original for this trans/t-case...or so I'm told...

There's been alot rigging on this truck...the front BOM axle number is from an 89 F350 and the rear is to old to even read it...I'm guessing late 70's...

The frame is spliced in the middle with some handy welding/ bolt work and I believe the frame pieces belong to their respective axles.

looks like a E4OD trans and if it is from an F350 then the engine is a 7.3 non turbo same as in my 89 F 250

I concur, it looks to be an E4OD with a Warner 13-56 xfer case, and as stated, could be the combo from a normally aspirated 1st gen 7.3. If the little metal ID tag is still on the tranny, those numbers will tell ya what version it is, i.e., what it was originally bolted up to.
