Here is the running list for Rockvember weekend. It was a horrible weekend for me but had a blast. Anyone else break anything?

1. Trailer tire went flat on way to URE
2. Threw two driver side u-joints, rounding both shaft knuckles and the bolts.
3. Trailer tire repaired and then blew out on way home. Rode home on 3 wheels.
4. Broke my HAND when it slipped off the handle of hi-lift jack on the way down. Handle flew up and then back down into my hand. Lucky it was only my hand. Removed shafts so i could roll it easier and was lowering to put tire on.

Word to the wise. Use proper care and caution when using hi-lift jack. They can be very dangerous!

This is the truth!

I had my hi-lift handle fly up and smack my face one time. Busted my lip open and had gashes inside my mouth from my teeth. You gotta pay attention when using a hi-lift.

It came very close to my face. I really got lucky it was my hand. Had enough force to break the bone clean in two though. Maybe I wasnt that lucky. lol

I broke a 260 ujoint in the driver side D30 in the ZJ on the first ledge on Daniel. Was barely creeping when it went. Tucked my tail between my legs and headed back home :(

My hi-lift ratcheted back up and hit the bone on the inside of my elbow. I thought it broke the darn thing. It hurt for over a month after that. I use my hi-lift all the time but I'm more careful now.

Its a very convenient light weight jack. I'll have to quit being lazy and use my floor jack when at home from here on out. :)

Mine broke while driving on the trail. Low speed, but I had just climbed bud. My caps shattered. The joint body stayed intact minus some scoring on the ends.

I looked for you Saturday morning at the outpost, but didn't see you anywhere. I was gonna attend the CTB meeting. Maybe next time!

The shafts are ruined so I have to replace them. I think I'll go ahead and replace the joint with a 760. Where is a good place to get some? Parts stores gave me 4 wrong u-joints already!

I would suggest a 760 u-joint to go back in with. It should last longer the shafts.

What he said.

Clt, I've got a 260 sized drivers side shaft I pulled from a yj 30 the other day that you can have if you want. It'll at least get you rollin, PM me for shipping info.

I saw you coming down 109 as I was on my way home :(
