What is Talkpad? or Tapatalk or whatever u call it.

I have heard of this but what is it and how does it work?

Tapatalk

It's an app for your phone or tablet.

Basically, you install it on your phone, set it up with the different tapatalk-enabled sites that you visit, then you can check them in a format that's better suited to the small phone screen. The killer feature, IMHO, is push notifications. So any time you get a PM or a reply in a subscribed thread, etc, it shows up in your notifications bar.

I was a holdout due to just being an ass but i love it, i would'nt go to the forums nearly as much as i do without it,
works good when looking for somthing also b/c you can set it up to bring all unread posts up first, so as soon as you log in any new posts pop up

I use it for my galaxy sIII. I like using it better than a regular computer. But replying on the computer is much easier. Worth the $2.00 or whatever.

i didnt like it at first but once you get used to it like said above i dont get on the site via pc but maybe once a month. and im on nc all day lol via cell phone

I held out on tapatalk for while, didn't want to spend the $2 for it. I got it last month, sure with someone would have told me how great it is a long time ago! Makes surfing this forum and others much better. And posting pics right from your phone is super easy.

Is anyone on version 2 of tapatalk? Wondering which way to go. Seems the reviews are iffy on the newer one.

I'm running 2.4.13 on my phone, no problems or complaints. I have had it show the same thread twice in the new threads listing, but that's no big deal.

I'd guess that any 1.x version of the app would be extremely old. I would definitely recommend upgrading from that.

Its working great, completely different. It didn't replace my old ap so I been bouncing back and forth seeing if it misses anything. I say download it and try it, it didn't replace mine so I imagine it won't on yours.
