what is the best way to remove paint from a yj dash? dash was tan but someone painted it black and i want to get the black off and have it tan again.

Removing paint from plastic with no damage is next to impossible. The solvents in the paint melt into most plastic. I am not sure it can be done satisfactorily without refinishing afterwards.

Go to napa and get SEM paint. You can paint the dash, seats, seat belts, even carpet with it.

I actually have used it before for seat belt guides in my F350. It is very durable.
To the OP, I think if it is regular spray paint, you might be in for a lot of work.
