It is about time to strip the jeep. I am trying to decide if it is worth it to try and sell the engine and trans separate or just junk the whole thing.
It is a 93 4.0 with AW4 transmission. The engine and trans have ~170k, and before the roll, they were both in great shape. After the roll the engine does not idle, it will crank and will stay running if you keep your foot on the gas, could be a vacuume line, but I am not sure.
When I am done stripping it, it will just be the full interior, motor and transmission. Basically there will be no suspension, axles, bumpers, transfer case.
So I got a quote from the junk yard to pick it up (which is a plus for me because I will have no way to get it anywhere without the axles) and give me $350.
Thoughts?
Offers?
