What is this country coming too???

Sounds to me like the parent of the boy is not thinking this through completly. If a child excells in school they can be moved forward to the next grade. this is the same thing for this kid. Moving forward into the next league will just make him better. I wouldn't want my daughter having that heat coming at her. But, if he did play I wouldn't make her quit either. I would make her get up there and try for sure.
 
Thats a load of crap. Sounds to me like someone on the inside had their kid embarrased by this phenom and decided to whine about it until they got their way. Its all about who ya know these days.
 
yeah it sounds like something fishy... i mean, id have him move up for his own sake, as well as others... but when i played ball as a kid, we faced guys who threw extremely hard. It taught you to be a better hitter....

I often faced guys that threw extremely hard for their age and it def. taught me to be a better hitter.
 
That is total BS, but it might be for the best. He should move up to the next level and throw against older kids. It will only make him better.

I was thinking little johnny's parents should stop crying about it and get their little shit to the batting cage to learn to hit the fastball.....
 
Before I read the article I predicted it was going to be reasonable. My daughter plays softball and she's at the age where the girls pitch for the first time. (Any younger and the coaches pitch nice and easy.)

Some of those girls bring the heat instead hitting the strike zone. I've heard other parents complain but my daughter just sucks it up and takes her base. I could see being mad if one of these reckless pitchers hit her in the head.

Having said that, this guy has speed and control. Play ball and STFU.
