What is this truck worth??

There is a guy that lives up the street from me that has a old Military chevy pickup. You know the ones with the front 60 and rear 14bolt and the diesel motor and all that stuff. What are these worth?? I was going to have my buddy buy it for $500 cash and build a cab truck out of it or something. He wants to get more serious about 4 wheeling. What would be a good price???

I think the axles usually sell for $1,400-$1,700 assuming Detroit in the 14 bolt, 4.56 gears, and depending on condition. Buy it and put an S10 cab on it.
