What kind of 12V lights to use to light up my storage trailer?

I have a 45-foot semi trailer (yes, like tractor-trailer) that I am using for storage. It is sitting in the middle of a horse pasture, so there is no electric. I'd like to put some lights in it, as it's not that bright in there even in the day, and I have so much crap in there it is hard to navigate thru. :)

I have several 12V batteries from a cell phone tower (thanks Carl/Ridgerunner), and I already have a 12V solar panel that I'm not using.

Anyone have experience with economical 12V lighting for something like this? What can I use?

Thanks!

Go to Wal-Mart and buy the tap lights. They use a few batteries, and are not super bright, but to see and move around they should do the trick. No wiring needed.

If you want to realy light up the place, use some cheep driving or fog lights. Wire them to the battery and then put a switch on the inside of the trailer. Inside so that your horses don't turn them on while scratching their butt on the trailer. Should be able to buy lights and switch for about $30.00

I have a tap light in my Zuk - I guess I could use a whole bunch of them. :) But I want to light it up fairly decently so I can pick bolts out of bins, etc.

Ooo - I forgot that I have a bunch of cheap fog lights in the trailer! That is a good idea! Good idea also to protect the switch from horse butts.

Is this the best way to go, or are there inexpensive 12V fluorescents I can use?

how about the lights used on heavy equipment/tractors? alot of those are flood beams, probably can get them cheap from agri supply or something.

or, hit up rv and boat supply places... i'm sure they'd have alot of fixtures to choose from. probably $$ though.

A couple LED's, they don't pull a lot of power.
Cheap farm lights from NAPA
inverter and regular florescent ones
Go to bone yard a scavenge several dome lights
12v florescent that you clip on battery
Just a few ideas

HF. solar powered shed light. It is LEDs and utilizes an included solar panel. on sale for $25. They have a larger version that is around $200.
