One bit of info that may be dated.
I worked for Sears in college (late 90's) at that time they had switched to Exide to manufacture the DieHard batteries, within months they were canceling a contract and suing Exide because of returns, they went back to Johnson Controls and have been theer ever since.
This may be limited experience, and they amy have changed, but this was in Exide's peak, when they were throwing money into Jack Roush's pocket and sponsoring Jeff Burton, and their product sucked goat ass. They may be better now, can't say, but i will nver buy another exide product.
I personally run a Lithium industrial battery. $400 is hard to swallow but the date code on the side says December 9, 1984....
