I bought a WJ with some modding already done. It's a 2000 with an NV424HD transfer case and 45RFE transmission. Below is a list of what is done, and a list of further mods I'd like to do. The thing is, what to do next?

Done:
Clayton 4.5" Long Arm lift
JKS front sway bar
JKS front sway bar quick disconnects
Tom Woods front drive shaft
Trussed D44a rear
Yukon Spartan locked rear
Custom rock sliders
Cragar soft 8s
33" Dunlop MT's

To Do:
Reinstall rear sway bar (need longer end links)
Winch mount or front bumper
Winch
Other recovery gear, straps, snatch blocks, etc.
Upgrade axle shafts in rear (and front?)
SYE & rear drive shaft
Rear bumper/tire carrier
Fuel cell or relocate gas tank
Skid plates

I'll probably pick up some extended end links from BDS because they are cheap and I can reinstall my rear sway bar. This Jeep is street driven, after all.

I'm thinking various recovery gear and winch + mount or bumper should be at the top of my list.

Your thoughts or opinions?

Are you putting a d60 in this wj??? Id go with 14ff if ya gonna go that big and sye would be my next thing to do if it were me or the gas tank move it gives ya alot of clearance in the rear with it inside the jeep!

If ya have the d44a trussed just get some chromo shafts if ya planning on running anything bigger than 35... This is a street jeep correct?

This is a street driven Jeep, I'll use it to drive to work and to and from the trails, but it is not my sole DD. I'm not planning on going larger than 33's at the moment, any axle swaps will be later down the road. With 33's I have some rubbing issues when flexing/wheeling, I discovered that at the flats last weekend. I'd have to have more lift or less fenders before bigger tires/axles.

The chromo shafts are a good idea, updated list.

Yeah in your case you should be fine till ya decide to wheel it harder d44a has bad rep but are good on road id suggest replacing every ujoint ya have on the thing with some HD ones also its a good investment even tho front might be a pain! Looks like your set really but thats my opinion i like seeing newer grands on the trails i have a zj and i love it!

Id atlest get extra stock shafts for front if ya not going chromo up there too.

These are pics that the guy I bought it from took. (JakeMate on the board) There are a few that I took of it and a vid in the past events section from The Flats last weekend. I've done nothing to it yet, so it still looks the same.

recovery gear and winch + mount or bumper should be first & atleast some spare shafts

Wow that thing is nice... I agree with jason W a skid for your tcase is prolly a great idea for when ya do wheel cause i know the rocks chew alum tcases up for breakfast well depends on how hard ya wheel!!! Other than that that wj looks good hope to see it on the trails sometime!

If thats claytons long arms i believe they make a skid that ties into your crossmember that would protect ya tcase!

Thanks for the compliments yall.

This plus some body protection and a spare tire as well if it's a dual purpose rig. That and keep your basic tools with you.

I do have a spare, just not a carrier. It's laying in the rear cargo area. I have some basic hand tools in the spare tire well. I won't be doing any real hard wheeling until I get it a little more trail ready, I definitely don't want to tear it up.

I'm thinking winch, bumper, and skid plates are next. Maybe around tax time. I've been looking for some WJ bumper plans similar to Kevins offroad incline bumper. I do not want to spend 1100 + shipping for a bumper. I intend to tie the bumpers into the rock sliders with tubing for some level of fender protection afterwards.

Yeah I've been meaning to make the trip up there to talk to them...Brandon? My off days have been busier than my work days as of late. :/
