what size dom

i have been running a 4 link for a couple of years, i have a cut up chevy with 38's and 5.13 gears. I was wondering what size dom tubing you guys would recommend for my lower links. Up until now i have used schedule 40 1 1/4 and sleeved it with 1" schedule 40 and then welded a piece of 1 1/2 angle on the bottom of the link and haven't bent one yet. But i just got fox shox for the rear and decided to upgrade the links also so give me your opinion thanks
 
i can get some 1 1/2 by .25 wall for about 10 dollars a foot local do you think if i took and welded a small piece of angle on the bottom of that i would be fine i just really don't want to have to do this again
