I have a 94 YJ (4 banger) I am getting ready to buy an 8.8 for the rear. Add gears and lockers to the front and back and most likley do a SOA set up.
My question is... Would I be better off to go ahead and find an old blazer or something and go for the full width version. How much more would it be to buy gears lockers, steering etc. for the FW. If I find a complete blazer I would also have the motor, trans, and transfer case if I wanted to upgrade. If I can do the FW setup for say 500.00 to 1000.00 more but have twice the strength I think it would be worth it.
A few details... This jeep will be a driver. I say that loosely b/c I will be driving it to and from the trail. I'm really looking for a rock solid rig I can beat on in the woods and then drive it home.
Any and all comments are welcome and if you have parts for sale let me know.
Thanks
Guy
