The wife, 1yr old son and I are making a trip to Raleigh to look at a truck tomorrow.

What is there for a family to do in the late afternoon (after 2pm) in Raleigh?? Any areas with unique shops or at the very least a quality mall that the wife can shop in (since I may be spending some big bucks!)??

Anywhere to stay away from??

Thinking about spending the night and making a little getaway out of it. We are expecting #2 in November and won't get much opportunity to travel for a while.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks- the boy and I would love it... However... I am dragging the wife 4 hours to look at a truck... that I really don't need as I am not getting rid of either of the two I already have...

To throw a 4x4 shop and some car crushing on top of that- could spell the end of my marriage!!! :shaking:
Thanks though

I am a member of the Flying Saucer, so I may hit that up for a late lunch... and get my 3 beer maximum in...

May have to check out the museum.

Anyways sorry,I won't hijack. There are some really cool shops over on the 64 exit off 440.I can't think of the name but they are like consignment shops with cool furniture and old house decorations.Oh wait I remember. They are called the "thieves market".Here's the link.
