What to do with bunches of used CO2 canisters

Wife really wanted a soda stream for Christmas, one of those deals that adds carbonation to drinks. To save space and the cost of replacing giant canisters I got her a little 1 L deal that uses the small 8g cartridges. Like the ones used for handheld paintball etc.

So, it's already clear we're going to go through tons of them. She just ordered a bulk of 80 of 'em.

I'm looking for clever ideas of what to do w/ the empties. Maybe some kind of artwork (akin to the other thread)?
Maybe some kind of neat tool cool be made with them?
Oh I wonder if I could easily/cheaply add a bottle opener head onto them...

Problem is must be "food grade". I do already have a 10 lb I use for OBA.
But there's no telling exactly how "pure" it is inside there.

These. Once spent tbey have a hole in tbe tip.

I do think they'd make pretty killer bullets for a potato gun

Too bad they are so heavy. If AL, I'd thread a small eye hook into the ends with some sealer and sell them as a key floatation device

Drill the hole out to full bore. Pour in your favorite toddy, seal the tip with wax or something easy. Save them up and take them to the next Baltimore NBA or NHL game when the teams finally return.

Depending on how big your hands are, you could make tool handles (screwdrivers, nut drivers, files)...or maybe a paintball player would want them as a tool kit?
Or attach them to a belt & sell to a hipster or steam punker? Weld together as some form of yard art windmill or the like? If you know somebody who's getting married soon, attach them to their 'Just Married' ride and make them their problem?

My 20lb'ers are all former Pepsi or Coke cylinders, so I'd guess that would be food grade since they are used to make soft drinks.

And....

I use a typical 20# bottle of CO2 that I get from AirGas for my beer home brew. CO2 is CO2. You don't go in there asking for "food grade" it's just CO2 or "food grade" CO2 tanks.

CO2 is CO2, but I think the question is how clean the cylinder is and knowing it's history.

Had some liquid inspiration & thought of one...cut the ends off, weld the tubes together & sell to Fuller as "firearm-grade" roll-cage material!!
