what to do with junk car

I bought an old car to use as a parts vehicle for another car I have. Now I am ready to get rid of the carcass however I don't know how or where. The first 3 places I looked require a title to it. I have the title signed over from the PO to me and it's notarized however I never took it to the DMV to get it changed over since I never planned on putting it on the road.

Thoughts?

The vin matching is what they want to see,not whose name is on it.

First target practice.
then what you have should be fine.

You should be good with that title. Last car that I had with no title got cut up into tiny piece and thrown in the scrap metal bin at our local dumpster. Super huge pain in the ass. But i needed it gone

Cut it into smaller peices and sell it as scrap. Maybe you have to take it in a couple of loads.
Around here a lot of places pay less for scrap (which is what they would consider part of a car) versus a whole car.

car is gone. thanks for the suggestions. I appreciate it when things move quickly.
Oh yeah,we're just like Ex-lax.Nice and fast, just not too clean.

I don't recall loading a car full of tannerite.
Still available!

Don't crush that Plymouth!

Bring it on...but now seeing the car in question, I don't think I could. I thought we were talking like a 92 civic or something of that nature.
It's a rust bucket. Pic definitely looks better than in person. I like the tanerite idea the best. Plus if we fill it full of lead it will bring more at the scrap yard!

I wonder what yards Adam checked with? I've never heard of a title problem if it's over 10 years old. And then sometimes if it's stripped, damaged enough, no questions.
As for loading cars with scrap, at least Southern Metals, stopped that practice, Years ago. You had to haul it separate, because they paid more for cars, than steel.
The Fury looks like it still has Hard to find parts + Glass, on it!

This car looks way better in pics than in person. The K-member is all but gone, trunk floor is toast, and from the lower trim down is mainly riveted sheet metal and bondo. The trim seems to all have been broken off at some point and then glued back on. I stripped everything I could use on my '68 Convertible and/or sell later. This car was purchased new in Virginia and then spent most of it's life in West Virginia. The front windshield is cracked and not the right one so a PO used heavy amounts of sealant to make it fit. The rest of the glass is good and can be saved I just ran out of time and energy - I needed to get another vehicle in the garage.

I contemplated getting it running with a spare 318 and 904 trans I have but at the end of the day the time and $ it would take to make this thing reliable and safe doesn't add up with my math. Whatever happens to it is fine with me. I'm thankful GotWood came and cleared it out of my garage.

Thanks again! I was taking it to the scrap yard but everyone cried so I parked it in the back for now. I'm going to try to sell it (there's an ass for every seat!). If I get more than a couple hundred bucks, expect a commission check @AdamH
