What trails to run at each park?

A slight spinoff from the TTC/UA thread, I want to compile a list of that trails to run and in what order.

We have spent a lot of time at harlan, and on the first couple trips there we did a lot of back tracking and back and forth time on the trail head and have figured out an efficient route to hit a lot of trail in succession.

In thinking about other wheeling destinations, planning a trip somewhere new is hassle on top of learning the park layout and map.

So if you or your club has experience with what trails to run at a place and in what order , post them up. I'll try to edit and maintain the list as it evolves.

Thanks.

Harlan:

We start out and run these trails first to warm up the first day in this order working our way up the mountain.

Day 1

Pinball
Railbed
Fish fossil
Lower rock garden
Killin time
Lower & upper profanity
Grape vine
Middle rock garden
Mason jar

Other trails we like to visit, don't necessarily run, but denfitiely check out, in no specific order:

Cream puff
Little jagger
Pony hill
Lower damnation
Lions den
Helicopter pad
4 posts/goldfish pond
Stadium

I know its a haul for most in the NC area but a good solid two days could be put together in both Morris mtn and Chocoloco (30 min apart) with little to no back tracking and there's a really nice back road trail heading up into the mountains in Georgia that's well worth the detour. Charlie's creek its called. Camped there with a mcj group on the way to snowbird one time.

Jellico unfortunately is long gone. Gray Rock is more or less closed now with you having to do serious work to open the park for private rides. Sorry I can help with the others, I don't keep up with many trail names.

If I can find the map, we might be able to contribute to the Golden Mountain trail list. They're all numbered, so that much harder to remember.

Windrock:

Northside, 45 minute highway drive from The Windrock Campground to the start of trail 72.

72-52-53-54a-54-55-54b-Carryville Flats.

Fun trails, will take the better part of a day. The Northside does not get much traffic. devils elbow has kicked my azz so far......

Golden Mountain; pick a number, aside from 1 &2 they're all great. Can easily do every trail in a weekend ( if it's dry ), and you'll want to do many of them again .

Depending on your level of difficulty, these are the trails I like. I think all are red or black.

Rausch Creek, PA: Rock Creek, Jotters Way, Trail 5 Hillclimb, Cemetary, Boot Hill, Tombstone (play area), Shoot the Moon, Deathtrap, Crawl Daddy, CV Trail hillclimbs

Ivy Branch, WV: A lot of the trails don't have posted names, only numbers. Any of the blacks are good, some of the red/blacks seemed impassable. These I know are good trails. Butcher Block (90), Cable (93), Can Opener (94), 91 we did downhill, has several ledges, and 87 either way (long hill climb)

I haven't wheeled in awhile but I usually looked for a trail that made me feel like I was going to wet myself, then I would try it. I never could remember the trails. The fear drove the name right outta my head.
