Just wondering what everyone uses to keep their manly stubble in check. Do you use a manual razor or an electric razor/shaver?

Just in case I am not using the right terms here is what I am referring to in general:

Manual since I have a sexy mustache I have to trim around. (Shown in avatar picture)

Three blade manual. I have to be clean shaven every day except the occasional Saturday or Sunday that Im not working. Electric razors just never seemed to work for me.

I use a hair trimmer and maintain a beard. Wife either wants it super clean shaven with no stubble, or long enough that it doesn't scratch her face. All my other girlfriends seem to like the beard too, so I just keep it.

Would rather slice and see blood than to feel the pain when the electric starts to grab my beard hairs when it starts getting dull. (feeling it now just thinking). But I'm still waiting for my adams apple to callus up since I cut it every... single... time... with a manual. I have to sport a TP cover spot every time I shave for a couple of hours but at least it don't hurt.

Man, I hate shaving.

I used to use a 3 blade razor, I'd use 'em several times before pitching cause their so damn expensive.
That was ok when I just had the 'stache/goatee, but got to be old trimming around it all the time.

Now I have a full-face beard, but I keep it trimmed to a couple mm (#4?). I use one of these trimmers

to trim it, and take the guard off to use the electric roller-style razor on my neck and upper cheeks.
it never gets as close as a real blade, when I want it to really feel good I bust out the blade.

FYI, w/ a lot of the trimmer, you can take off the guard and it gives you a vibrating blade you can use to cut around the edges. This is what I do where my chin meets my neck, and at the cheeks to get the little scrubby stuff and keep a nice tight line line on the beard.

Shave my neck with an electric razor. I just went to the beauty store today for some nice clippers to help keep the beard under control;)

I use a Pre-WWII Gillete safety razor that was my great grandfathers. I got sick and tired of the Mach 25 blades costing a small fortune and got his razor out of a drawer it had been hiding in for a long time. I caught some grief for using a possible "antique" and decreasing its value, but I never planned on selling it anyway. It took a few weeks to get used to it, but the shave is second to none. I blades I finally settled on cost about 35 cents a piece and last at least a week shaving almost everyday.

Dollar Shave Club when I shave..... They have nice blades for cheap electrics always seem to give me bumps.... Maybe it's my herpes... Either way ...
