I have had this van for a while now. I sold the 4bt out of it and now am thinking of turning it in for scrap. What do you think it would bring. I feel like I saw someone on here say about 1000 but could be wrong.

i guess it depends on aluminum scrap prices. with the body being all aluminum, it'll prob bring a pretty penny.

However, you may could pawn it off on Yager for his next tow rig/camper project :D

although, a 12valve and nv4500 with some tlc, that could be one hell of a camper/hauler :)

the rocks are behind it you come put em under there and I'll drive it:driver: Do I have to tear it apart to get aluminum prices?

Oversized stuff normally sell's at a lower rate because it has to be cut up into smaller parts to grind. I would seperate all the different parts and sell it that way. I know that 21 motors is buying complete vehicles at a higher rate but the are parting them out before crushing them.

By seperate you mean what. Pull axle out the body off the frame and so one and so forth. I'll probably put it on trailer and take to scrap yard the way it is before that kinda trouble.

sold one ~18 months ago and got $950 for the aluminum, but we cut it up with a sawzall into ~4x8 sheets and hauled it up that way.

Wanna say I got $100 for the 6 tires and rims off here, and the marker lights are still on my trailer...

So you cut the floor roof and sides into 4x8 sheets so were they clean sheets or did you take off all the rack mounts seat mounts and what not on the inside too. Did you just turn in the rest of the body that wasn't a 4x8 as scrap with the frame? Any advice for cutting it up like what kinda sawzall blade is best? Thanks for the help I will def cut it up for that kinda money.

When I said seperate I meant steel, aluminum & copper. Then cutting it into smaller parts not removing the rearend from the frame.

exactly just cut the alum body away from the frame, sell the frame, axles etc for bulk scrap and the alum for alum...

Cool thanks for the help and suggestions guys. And for the wheels and tires yes they are 19.5's and how does $100 sound?

Hey Hey Hey....dont cut it up yet. That thing screams TARGET PRACTICE!!!

You need to chop the top about 3' and lower it, saw one somewhere and it looked good. Mad Max kind'a looking.

Take it to the next level for the socer moms to envy.
