Whatcha know about Miami and the Keys

Travel day tomorrow to South Florida. Going to a celebrity super bowl party Saturday night at Oleta River state park with some friends. Already made some plans to hit up some good restaurants on our trip and going to John Pennycamp state park for a day of snorkeling/ diving Wednesday. Spending a few days just relaxing on the beach trying to catch the Corona bug.

He would have owned a few tickets on this trip. Cops are everywhere pulling people over, I guess it’s because of the super bowl. I did get up into the upper 90’s a time or two without realizing it just going with the flow. Wife’s Edge sport got an average of 25.7 mpg hand figured.
 
Total mileage for the trip 2339 which includes 902 miles yesterday at an average of 23.1 mpg. Trip recap is traffic in and around Miami is insane. Some of the worst traffic I’ve been in anywhere in my travels and that’s saying a lot. Food scene is good but prices are quite a bit inflated. Beaches were nice and pretty relaxing and water temperature was a little cooler than expected but refreshing. Didn’t have time to do any diving but that’s fine. Weather was amazing, in the mid and upper 70’s to mid 80’s later in the week and only a little rain Friday. Last Saturday was crazy with all the super bowl parties and Sunday was even worse. The scenery is great as far as the beaches and different colors of water. Went to Zoo Miami on day which is worth the visit if you like that kinda stuff. Very large zoo with lots to see. Took a private airboat ride through the Everglades and really enjoyed it along with the scenery and all the wildlife. Was a great week spent with my wife for our 20th anniversary.
