Buddy of mine at work, is having some hard times and considering selling his grandpa's old truck he gave him. He realizes he will never have the means to fix it. Last running in 71 or something like that. No motor or trans or title(Georgia). He does have the seat. He says the truck is solid just surface rust and that they have put oil on it every so often to try to preserve it...
Ford guys, what's it worth? Isn't this one of the more desirable years?

Man, I'd have to do a lot of searching, to determine if UTFball68, is correct! I really have little knowledge on this, but was thinking on starting at $1000. Seems to be a decent body, & is a Custom cab. Guess that meant chrome windshield trim & chrome grill! No motor, trans, or title. Title would be of more interest than the motor/trans. Selling body parts would also net some good money. But, as with any project, it's finding the interested buyer!

Only reason id see it going that high is because 56 is THE year to have. No idea why, those trucks don’t do much for me, just know that if it were a 55, it’s half as much.

Title is easy in sc.....just takes 90 days and $45

I like it a lot. Not 5k a lot.
My problem when perceiving value of anything including my work is I only understand my perception and worry about everyone else's.

Now that's a lesson i would like to learn.

On topic did I say I like that a lot? The prize you have on that one is it's completeness. Without being next to it it appears to be really decent and represents itself as solid even lower on all the lines.

Don’t get me wrong...I don’t think it’s worth or will sell for $5k...I think it’s legitimately in that 2500-3k range. But you can always come down on price, tough to go up, and regardless of what the sticker price is, people are gonna negotiate...so might as well start higher to end up above where you wanna be than below.

I know we're not talking apples to apples, but I paid $750 for my Chevy, in similar year/condition and feel like I paid probably a fair amount. Also purchased from Georgia, with no title.

Someone will certainly pay 2-3k for that truck, if they are a true ford fan and collector and has a donor. From looks of it that’s not Gonna be easily restorable without a lot of new metal being replaced! But hard to tell in pic I know 55-56 parts are somewhat easier to find now a days with Interweb! I love it tho, I’d ride it rusted with a clear coat just like it is. lol

I ended up selling my '53 F1 for $750. It was running (crossbred) with a good NC title but missing the front clip.
