Long story extremely short, the time has come to get a more family oriented 4wd. I love the jeep, but let's face it. Two car seats and groceries doesn't work so well. I have a coworker who is interested in it as it sits. It's not in my best interest to sell it as it sits, but If I can get enough coin for a decent down payment I'll let it go to him. He restores hot rods on the side and is extremely talented. It's not perfect, but for an 88 yj it's not nearly as bad as most I see ragged out, primered, and torn all to hell and back. Jetted webber carb swap using 4.2 intake.
Crt hei distributor with msd wires.
Aem wideband
3.5 fabtech kit
5 3/4 tread 31 10.50 mt's
comes with Xj d44. Needs setup for sua.
Now for the bad.
Valve cover needs new grommets
Has BA10/5 that sometimes doesn't like to downshift into 4th. Absolutely no problem up shifting. I just usually keep it in 4th. It's still on 3.07 gears and runs just fine on the hwy in 4th.
Dented passenger side fender.
Front bumper is m.i.a. after swap.
Typical Minor rust in very rear of frame behind shackle mount. Totally fixable.
and as of today it needs a slave cylinder. I replaced the master because it had a intermittent leak and much as I figured the slave followed soon after.
