96 Toyota truck. 4wd, 5 speed. He says it has a 22RE. Supposedly has new trans and transfer case. Body is straight but has a few small rust spots. No rust on frame. Interior good. 183,000 miles. Owner says it needs the 4th piston! lol
He wants $2700 as is. I didnt dicker with him yet.
What do ya'll think it's worth?
 
Tacomas didnt have 22re's if its a 4cly its a 2.7L
Price sounds steep, for needing a motor rebuild.

Yes I know. Just wondering its worth. It has a 4" lift and 33's. He said it has 4:81 gears in it. Ivenotheard of that ratio so I'd figure he may not know what he's talking about. I've read that it should have a 2.4 motor
I figure if I got to put a motor in it it's worth more like $1700 max. The truck looks great. It's not far from my house and I think this guy will just let it sit before he takes a low all offer. I'm still going to go and talk to him though. I just wanted to do some homework first
