I am wanting to go w/ something not so high end but still get ok performance. I do not race or travel at high speeds, just rock crawling and bashing. I want a set of 16" 2.5's. I would not be against trying a new brand that has come out. Thanks and any info would help.

Is there any reason you aren't interested in coil overs? For the same money of the 2.5 airshocks you could get 2.0 coil overs and IMO you probably be happier with them.
Do you know what your buggy weighs? Ive seen it in person a few times and remember that it seem's a bit on the heavy side, is it a big block too?

I'm partial to Fox so that would be my choice. But at list price it's hard to justify the 2.5 over a coilover. I sell coilovers with springs for around the list price of 2.5's. The only thing I can imagine the need for a air shock over a coilover is keeping a super low ride height, like less than 4" of shaft at ride height where keeping a reasonable spring rate to get the low stance isnt possible. With that being said I have one pair of 18" 2.5 air shocks that I've had for close to two years and I'll let those go for $280 a piece new in the box.
