I'm avoiding doing things at work, and y'all are too quiet :flipoff2:

Well...depends...backpack I like a folding 8.5" 300bo or folding 12.5" 308. Waistband, 9mm. Truck gun, 30-30 lever or beater 5.56. Ankle, 38sp. Glovebox, 45acp. Wearing a suit with shoulder holsters, I always like busting out the wheel guns, in the 44 variety.

Well...depends.

9mm

Used to be Shield 40, now it’s sig 365 macro 9, sometimes it’s sig 226, sometimes when I’m feeling nostalgic it’s Springfield 1911, but it’s never a clock.

This should get it going 🤣🤷‍♂️
How do you like that Sig? A guy I know was looking for a subcompact single stack 9 mm.

Always liked my 9mm s&w 940 loaded with +P JHP. disappears into about anything but a g-string and gets me off the X so I can grab what’s “hidden” in the truck. Also, jamming isn’t a thing when it’s a wheel gun. The ole point and click technology.

I love it. The integrated compensator in the slide helps it to shoot super flat for such a small platform and the 17+1 in something that size is great IMO.

I shot it a bunch with a red dot micro on it for fun, but took it off for carry use. Tritium front sight. Freaking love the gun. Everything I asked for in a carry gun in one small package.

Typically carry it with liberty critical defense whatever 47gr +P.

I have decent size paws and i can still get a good grip on it which is usually a problem for me and sub compact size guns. I can’t shoot a micro bc I have to break my grip to get on the trigger. Less of an issue with the macro.

I want to put a light on the rail just to give my left thumb more surface area to push on. I practice with the side of my thumb dug into the chamfer for the rail, but a little more area to “push” on would definitely enhance comfort wise. But honestly that’s splitting hairs with criticizing it.

Also the factory frame texture is pretty slick/soft, I’d like it to be more aggressive and rougher, but that’s for my hands and preference.

I usually tote a ParaOrdnance P10 with Federal HydroShoks. 10+1 in a subcompact .45 aint too bad. Even as small as it is, it has enough weight to not jump out of your hand.

No such thing as “best” because personal opinion and comfort level vary per person.
I know people who carry various calibers and the one I would fear the most carries a .22.
Even though she has no interest, her accuracy is competition level.
You WOULD NOT win a gunfight with her.
It’s best to shoot what you are comfortable with in any situation.
Not to mention, anything is better than nothing.

XDS 9mm normally. Occasionally a XDM .40.

If I'm going into an area where I'm concerned, it's my Ruger 1911 .45.

Imo, the one you'll carry. For me, I always have my NAA 22Mag in my pocket. Doesn't matter if I'm going to let the dog out or going to a job interview. It's also usually all I carry when I'm on site or in places you're "not allowed to carry". Weekends at home and out running errands, I carry my Berretta 92FS 9mm. If im at the farm or hunting, I'll often carry my Single Six, but its not concealed. Just a handy gun to have around the farm. As far as truck gun? Could be anything from an 22LR to my Remington 81 in 35 Rem.

Edit: FWIW, I carry the Berretta OWB in a GALCO pancake holster. No way I'm fitting that in a size 34 waist IWB. really doesn't print in a Tshirt and rides high enough to only show if I bend all the way over.

Before the boating accident when I lost all my weapons. Was a 10mm with my handloads. ;-)

Bingo. It doesn't matter how much stopping power your fiddy-cal or 10mm has if its sitting in the safe.
