What's the best martini?

Wife is going to girls weekend at the beach. They are having a martini "contest" to see who has the best recipe. We don't drink them. She has searched and we have tried a few but we don't like them.
What say y'all?
 
Can't stand martinis personally. But some guys at work were raving about a blue cheese olive dirty martini.

Stuff the olives with blue cheese maybe drop a some crumbles in the glass too and the rest is regular dirty martini style.

They seemed to like it. I like it beer and whisky.

I'm partial to Balvenie 12 Double Wood and Glenmorangie's Quinta Ruban. Tell her to buy a bottle of either, pour over ice, and tell her ladyfriends to sack up.
 
....the one poured down the drain.....................I do remember one made w absolute peppar vodka I had years ago that was pretty good.
 
Look into gin martinis. I'm not much a fan of those, either, but better than vodka.

Once a year I get together with some old friends from out of state for some drinking, with a little bit of poorly played golf mixed in as an excuse. Most of those guys are into martinis, old fashions, and gin drinks. I brought some peach flavored 'shine last year that brought the house down! Good stuff enjoyed by all!

Mixing a bunch of shit in a martini glass does not make it a martini. Hell, if I want a really big whisky and pour it in a mug is it a beer? Gin and vermouth or vodka and vermouth. That's a martini.
Damn fancy drinkers make prices go up.
Rant over.
