hey im wantin to put a louder muffler good sounding i already have 2.5 inch pipe so what sounds good with the 4.0 i was thinkin of just goin with flowmaster but idn let me no what yall have on yalls.

I have the Banks stinger stainless steel. Easy to go on. Nice tone.

I have a 40 series flowmaster on my 4.0 liter Wrangler and on our 2004 Grand Cherokee daily driver and they sound great!!!

yes a super 40 flowmaster with a 2.5" tailpipe sounds killer:bounce2:

I've currently got a banks cat back and banks headers and it sounds decent but not as good as the banks headers with gibson exhaust. The only reason I switched was for the stainless

I have a Magnaflow 2.5" cat and flow-through round muffler. I had a flowmaster before but it kinda got in the way of my longarm so I got the magnaflow combo and moved everything forward about 8" so the muffler is next to the t-case. Magnaflow sounds way better. Not so hollow sounding.

I think flowmaster sounds great on the I6, 40 series if you want it louder, 50 is a little more mellow.

I ran a glasspack on my Jeep for oh bout 2 days before getting rid of that, terrible, I know better now.

I really like the sound, and design of the magnaflow on my 6.0 gas 2500HD, I think it would sound good on a jeep.

I've had a 40-series Flowmaste r on my 03 Rubicon for 5 years... Nice sound you just have to get used to the drone when in OD and the powerband lulls down!!!

For a cheap reasonable option, vatozone sells a "turbo
" muffler for like $15 (ok its been 3 or so years since I bought one price may vary) that sounds suprisingly nice

just went to advance auto and the thrush welded and the flowmaster 40 look just alike inside and all i couldn tell a difference exept price.

congrats...post a video of it so we can hear

A little late in the discussion but I'm running a Banks header thru the stock cat then out a Thrush glasspack on my ZJ. Sounds good but it is a bit loud on the highway.
