Am I the only one whose shop sounds like nightclub lmbo. I get in my zone, crank up these 15" Fisher cabinets with 960w Yamaha receiver and daiuuuuum, sounds freaking awesome. I've got 2 of these placed opposite in the shop.

I'm planning on building a subwoofer enclosure into the vertical dead space in the compressor closet (above the compressor), and some in-wall speakers with 8inch midbass drivers. So whenever I can afford to build the garage (should have built it last year, but job confidence), I'll have proper tunes. It will drown out whatever country rap hideousness my neighbor listens to when he's doing yard work.
 
I rock one of these. Won it at a Christmas party a few years ago.

Actually not rock out. I like low background level music while working so I can hear things fall, move etc.
 
I use a Sonos 5. Awesome sound (even in garage) and I connect to Pandora via Bluetooth through my phone. I have a cheap stereo when I want to listen to FM stations but use the Sonos more often than not.
 
My mom got me some kind of horseshit that mounts to the wall years ago for Christmas. I honestly think she got it at Costco. It's a speaker and light as well as a 5 plug power strip. I plug the M18 battery charger into one plug, the LED shop light in another, the other three sit there empty for now. It's Bluetooth and gives me enough sound for my small shop.
 
I use a little bluetooth speaker as well. I did have a big amp and my old Cerwin Vega 12s but I moved them into the bar when I found out they are worth a lot more than I thought.

Heck yeah. Best part got em 8yrs ago at yard sale for $20 for the pair. Bunch a dude's were looking at em..I said "are they accounted for?"...they said not yet, well sold. Heck i knew the 1" cabinets were worth that. Got em home, and have sounded mint ever since. Love this old stuff, tiny little magnets, paper cone woofers in tuned ported boxes yet outperform most of these janky car stereo wanna be out there lol
 
My Yamaha gives em 185rms and at 3/4 volume, daiuuuuum

I've got one very similar to this that my wife scooped up at Costco a few years back. The link below is the updated version with fancy-smancy light inside.


It's got a little screw on the bottom too so I can mount this thing to my cage inside the 4runner when wheeling like the cool kids.

I'll have to look, but I'm pretty sure it's an ollld Sony setup with a receiver, tuner, tape deck, and record player that my dad bought from JC Penney back in the 70s. Has two good sized speakers with subs, mids, and tweeters. It'll blast some music.
 
My backyard shop just has the stereo in the Jeep. That, or my JBL Charge.
In my at-work shop, it's a lot more extravagant. I'll have to take a picture of it. Bluetooth connectivity and so loud that even at half volume it'll have people across the street at the gas station gettin' down. :lol:
 
Years ago in my racing days ......
The driver/owner was in real estate managment and we had a pieced together set from renter leftovers.
An old Onkyo reciever, one 4 ft. tall Kenwood speaker and one expensive 2 1/2 ft tall sumthinerother ......
Cranked up you just about couldn't hear the car runnning .......
 
My old house speakers didn’t fit in my new house so they are my garage ones now. I also have a receiver with Bluetooth to the phone to power them

Its kinda new, it will be covered in dust and dirty hand prints like the craftsman box beside it soon.
