Where to buy wheel studs based on size, not vehicle specific. I am trying to finish a rear wheel disc conversion on a rear D60 from an '88 E350 van. The lug studs have the spline at the rear, and I need it backspaced for the chevy conversion rotors (0.375"?). The spline is 0.675". I have tried everywhere and everything I know of, but no luck. Anybody got a fresh idea?
Need 9/16" thread and about 2.5" thread length. I can drill the rotor out to whatever the shoulder turns out to be. I got stuck with this POS (that I bought off this board- you know who you are...) and now I have to make it work.
BTW, for pure trivia. This particular axle did not just mate up to the flat, flange bolted disc brakets commonly sold for a D60. I had to move them about 1.5" behind the flange to work. Go figure.

Go to NAPA, grab their Dorman catalog, and turn pages until you find something that'll work. They should have all the dimensions listed.

Ditto on Napa, but if you got a stud take it with you. Have them use calipers and get the knurl and size of it and you should be able to better match it in the doman catalog.

Thanks fellas, I have done that with everybody that sells studs. I am looking for somebody that sells others than the 'usual suspects'. Do you think that I might get lucky with a heavy equipment specialist? I dont see why this is so hard. I mic'ed them and had studs at the stores. My local Carquest here sells Dorman, but not Napa.

I may end up having to go from a 9/16" up to a 5/8" stud. Will this be an unforseen problem? I am using H1 rims and 77' chevy rotors. All still 8 lug on a FF ford D60.

Try a race car/performance/machine shop type place. A lot of classes have to run big wheel studs. I'm surprised you can't find what you need at Napa.
