Just wondering what every one thinks about wheeling with no doors, half doors, or full doors. What do you prefer?

Once I started wheeling my Samurai with no doors and no top, I have never gone back. A little later I removed the windshield too, and haven't put it back on in several years. I like the completely open feel even in the winter.

Like drkelly....'cept my w/s fold down.
I can't stand wheeling with the doors or the top and try to avoid it if the weather allows.

I prefer in-doors, on the interwebz.

I used take the doors off to wheel then put them back on to dd, then I quit dd'ing my trail rig and it slowly got to the point where the doors didn't fit anymore.....

I always took my full doors off. Coming up school bus at wind rock I had a boulder come in the passenger side while my wife was sitting there inches from her face. Traded the full doors straight up for some half doors and haven't taken them off since.

Would it have ruined the half doors? Probably, but better them than my wife:)

no doors or half doors are my preference....unless there is a lot of mud involved and then its full doors, windows up.

No doors, but shopping for half doors. Because children. Can't afford tube doors.

In the last jeep buggy, half doors. For road driving or wheeling. Concealing the lower extremities is a must.

Done the no doors thing. I actually prefer having my doors on in the 4Runner. Nice in case I dump it over and a rock tries to come through. I would have caught one right to the shoulder on Crawfords Cry a few months ago had the door not been there. Gonna roll with the full doors til they are almost too mangled to open. Then I'll pry em open and get another set. Mud weekends its nice and cold weekends its fun to roll with the heat on to at least keep my feet warm.

need I say more?

Full cage. Tube acts as protection. I do miss a roof occasionally. I've still got firewall and windsheild, with a tarp on top I stay toasty in the winter.

Half doors. Actually cut down a set of samurai doors to have half doors for it before last big trip. Gives a little protection, keeps mud out of your pants and shoes, doesn't really affect visibility.

no doors mostly because in the XJs especially, you can't see anything!! i like to be able to look out my side and see the obstacle and the passenger same thing..easy for them to spot you on their side.

Love no doors!!! One of my best memories is me and my little girl (about 4) eating sweet sixteen dounuts in my sammi, sans doors riding dirt roads!!

But what about Hodors.....

Depends on your wheeling style. I like trail riding so no doors and no top.

I used to like no top and no doors but as I've tried harder and harder stuff, I like having the tube work and skins beside me (similar to half doors) and an aluminum roof for protection. I've seen quite a few dead tree limbs fall when someone backs into the tree. I'd hate for that to come through the top.

Tube doors

No a.c. = no doors. I ride no doors till I can't stand the cold anymore. Usually when I get winsheild frost I put the doors back on.
