I'm planning the build on my Ranger and right now I have a factory 108" wheelbase. My XJ buggy was on 33"s with a wheelbase of 102" and a belly height of 28". I"ll be running 36's on the Ranger and I was shooting for a belly height of 32". I will be running full width axles in the 64~67" range. My XJ was on factory width axles and it really had to get leaned over far to roll. My question is does a wheelbase of 108", belly height of 32" and full widths sound like a good combination? If not what would you change? Does anyone have a combination similar to this and if so what do you like/dislike about it? I'll be wheeling all the popular places like Calle, Harlan, Gulches, Uwharrie etc... I never had any problems with the belly dragging on my XJ except on the most extreme breakover angles. I'm just looking for some input to help get my build figured out. BTW I'll be running leafs front and rear.

What size tire you planning on? I would say that would be good for a 40" Tire. Hell im at 100" wb an a belly height of way too damn low. It wokrs for me.

36" Swampers or Boggers. I'm staying at that size due to my motor and gearing.

Im at 95" wheelbase with 21" belly, and the problem is not enough wheelbase.

My old cj was 101" wb with a 20" belly hight and 76" tall on 37's. Very stable too. Not sure what the zj is.
