...or, playing hide and seek with a front tire.

We were taking the one of our tractors around the recently logged woods on our farm when this happened. We had been over this section with lighter tractors with bush hogs with no problem, but I guess the heavier 2940 was able to break through the dry top crust and just keep on sinking!

Oh, and before anyone flames, we did not snatch it out with the chain (we have logging cable for that). My dad used the excavator to lift the front end out of the mud and spin it over to dryer ground. We tried the cable first but the front tire kept digging itself underground, hence the choker chain.

More, plus the obligatory KTM money shot.

:wheel:

Carnage was nothing more than a valve stem ripped off.

I need a dual sport and a trackhoe. Do you feel like your life is complete? (I really am impressed)

been there with my dad's JD 4020, it sat for a week untill I bought a snatch block. suprisingly my m8000 w/ the block pulled it out

Been there done that before. Have also had a Massey 2745 145 hp tractor sitting on belly with all 4 wheels like that. Only thing could do then was call pops and tell him to bring the cat D6 and a cable.

Actually I probably would be pretty content with life if they were mine. The day started off with trying to recover our stuck tractor with a busted tire and ended up getting to ride a badass bike and use a trackhoe. Talk about a change of fortune!

Gotta love friendly neighbors / extended family to lend a helping hand and equipment when needed.
