I need some input.
If you were going to a Wheeling event, and there was going to be Music, what would you want to hear?

The drive by david alan coe
Mud digger... For the wooo who people

Mix

Country
Classic Rock
Lil Heavy Metal

And lots of rap for Paul and the straight outta compton crew

laid back trail riding is one musical mood, obstacle hopping is another...then there is the go fast musical mood.

No one single soundtrack can cover it all. Better make a mixed tape.;)

Definitely some 80s classic rock or some tame blue grass. Country but as long as it is not the junk they play on the radio today.

Just so we are clear - are we talking about music you listen to while riding, e.g. on the radio, or live music before/after?

No Dave sorry wasn't clear. I am talking about a four wheeling event where there would be some live music to listen to, while taking a break or what not. Also, I am working on an upcoming benefit, where I am hoping to get multiple bands for entertainment, to not just entertain the wheeling group, but also to get more folks in the gate to raise even more money.

Classic Rock is the safest bet with some country thrown in.

Rock and country, bluegrass for trail riding. Most of the time I really don't listen to music, mainly listen to my squeaks and rattles to make sure no new ones appear. Also like hard rock for a good I wanna fuck shit up and look awesome at what ever I'm trying to do.

I hope your experience turns out better, Chip, but I remember at one of the first URE 4x4cross deals...there were nearly 35,000 dollars worth of bands that were mostly ignored and played to an empty field. Folks were too busy with their wheeling and what not, to go hang out in front of the stage. And those were famous/semi famous bands. I kinda felt sorry for the bands.

But Like I said, I hope this turns out different.:)

At a place like the Flats with a nice central area where everything dumps back to I think it could be more successful.

Well Here's my plan. This is a benefit to raise money for a man who needs a heart/Kidney transplant. (details when I can pin point the date)
I am gonna try and get as many people there to raise more money. The need is great, so While I know the wheeling crowd will support it, I want to get non wheelers to it to, so I am thinking of all things I can do and get done, to bring more folks in.
Music, Food, Games, Competitions and so on.

As of right now, I have two maybes on a swing band, and one Heavy metal band. That's the reason for the poll. Soooo
If you happen to know of a band, that might just help us out, PLEASE let me know or have a rep from them, to get in touch with me.

I am hoping that this will be bigger than what Rock Corps can handle, so, other clubs that would be willing to help would be awesome!

The Black Keys is a pretty good band that almost anybody will tap their foot to. That style of music makes me feel good.

Hall & Oates [/thread]
Luckily there's a fix for that

Dial "Callin' Oates" 719-26-OATES (719-266-2837) to be given the option of listening to one of four glorious Hall and Oates songs. The Emergency Hall and Oates Hotline options are as follows:
Press 1 to hear One on One
Press 2 to hear Rich Girl
Press 3 to hear Maneater
Press 4 to hear Private Eyes
