where are they?- CTB old school guys

years ago I went up to Vaders' house to pick up some D300s or something random. he had just picked up two totalled Lotus' and was developing a method to glue them together again (he did, because Id see him rolling up 77 all the time). to the best of my knowledge he held several patents, one for flooring or something like that. one year he had one of the first LS variants at the fun caravan in a yellow TJ with red flames and was developing a tune with a laptop, in the cab. as he drove... the story he told was the motor came from a crash tested pre-release vehicle.
dude is still one of the smartest guys I know. hang around him and Craven during the day, Hundley / Dylan in the evening.... full day.

Many years ago Vaders drove the yellow Ls tj to my house and I towed it to Galloways truck show. We were there all day, but Vaders had to leave before the awards ceremony. So he drove it home. I stuck around and sure enough, he won a huge 1st place trophy for his class. I called and told him he had won, and the next day he rode back out to pick up the trophy. This time he showed up in the completed Lotus and took me for a very high RPM adrenaline ride. Man that little car could rev. Iirc, the tach was bouncing off the 10k mark quickly.

I remember him having that yellow Jeep at the Fun caravan, when we stayed over in group camp. I walked up to him as he was working on the tune with the lap top, Way beyond(and still is) my comprehension. Most times he had his Sami, towing it with a single axle trailer. He had a special wiring on the sami IIRC, to keep it from being stolen.

Yes, and he wired his horn button to his winch.

Flip a switch on the dash and the horn works.. flip the switch the other way and it controlled the winch.. push the top of horn button to winch in...push the bottom of horn button to spool out. I thought it was pretty cool.
