where can i buy good leaf spring pearches

I'm trying to figure out what a GOOD leaf spring perch looks like? Maybe thicker?

Your local Dodge dealer.

Mopar "spring seats". $13 a box, 2 in a box.

Both RE and M.O.R.E. have good anti-wrap perches.
A little pricey, but worth it.

They are the ones I use/stock.

Also, depending on the application, you might need an offset perch for the front on the pumpkin side.

For 2.5" wide springs,

RE 1930 is the straight perch
RE 1920 is the off-set.

I don't know the M.O.R.E. P/N off the top of my head.

HTH

Okay, what is the difference between anti-wrap spring perches, and standard stock spring perches. I'm having a hard time understanding how a spring perch can stop or limit axle wrap.

Don't expect too much from "anti-wrap" springs, they aren't going to stop the problem at all. I've used both and never noticed an improvement.

They are a couple inches longer and the ends are flat rather than rounded like the Mr Gasket or MOPAR perches.

Honestly - they don't do very much for the wrap, but every little bit helps.
And they are definately beefier .

The big thing is the offset perch for the pun'kin side. Beats grinding all that cast.

If you have a suspension that can invert the leaves on compression, the longer perches make a nice leverage point to put a hurting on the springs.. not so good.

Not that inverting the leaves is good in itself, but every little bit helps.. :flipoff2:

would a ford dealership carry these also? Or would dodge spring perches work for a ford axle?

Make them yourself to whatever spec is needed. 2.5" x 0.25" square tubing, chop saw and hole saw to match the axle tube diameter.

Cut to length, notch with holesaw, and your done.

Cheap as long as you have the needed tools...

I've also used rectangle tubing to make these, cut to length and hole saw right in the middle, then there is only a little bit to cut with the sawsall to make 2 seperate pieces.

JC whitney also sells them Not sure if they are enygood but to really what you want you probally should build them like they said in the post pior to mine

Dodge doesn't make axles either... and I'm using these on my Toyota.. They're actually spec'd for a Dana60, but it's just a 3" dia. axle tube.
