So over the past couple of months...I have gotten gun crazy. I love reading about them, watching videos about them, window shopping online at which ones I'd like to have. My first purchase was a SCCY CPX-2 nice little 10+1 conceal carry 9mm. Shot about 50 rounds through it and love it. Then I thought, I need something cheaper to shoot...so I bought a new Ruger 22/45 lite, through a red dot on it and bought about 600 rounds of ammo...now my only problem is finding a place to shoot. I know calibers is there and also a new place called wesmar(?) but I can't see spending $15-$20 to go shoot then buying their targets, everytime I want to shoot. I perfer outdoor ranges which wesmar(?) is but, he charges $20 for a couple hours I think.

Where do you guys shoot?

My wifes grandparents have about 10 acres near virginia pass ruffin, but that would be over an hour drive for me, my wifes aunt has about 3 acres, but is nothing but trees, so its hard to shoot.

is calibers worth becoming a member? $175/year and can bring in guest at no charge

Drop a couple trees on the 3 acres and shoot away. I have a couple places on my parents property that are heavily wooded and it works great for a pistol range. I welded up some spinner targets and plink away. I can't stand to shoot at range unless I am sighting something in.

well, since its not my land I cant just go and knock over trees...

I shoot at home. Couldn't imagine living somewhere without enough room to shoot and park all my stuff!

I have the perfect little setup at my house, but I am inside the city limits and houses all around me.. don't think my neightbors would appreciate it.....

think I am gonna head up to Calibers tomorrow morning and try it out for a day.
Be ready to wait on a lane... Last time I was there it took an hour to get a lane.

Went up to calibers yesterday with my wife. We had a lot of fun. They had us watch a short safety video and then we were out on the range. Shot my 22/45 and my 9mm. Really liked it, will def go back...although I don think there is anything like shooting outside
