I searched. I need some fresh intel.

Some friends and I are planning a Harlan trip for May and we're looking for places to stay.

Looks like www,blackmountainrentals.com used to have some cabins off Main St in Evarts but their site isn't working and I can't find any contact info.

Looking more for a cabin or house.

Where do you stay? Can you post a link?

Thanks!

Call James White. The guy is cool and the house is nice. It's got everything from pots and pans to dishes to washers and dryers. He quoted us $120 up to 6 people and $10 extra for each additional person. It's real close to the trail head too.

Tell him that Nick McCracken recommended him and that we stayed on New Year's this year.

I usually camp at the Putney trail head. But I have to admit the tent sites kind of suck.

The cabins at the Putney trail head are awesome!

Just remember Harlan County is a dry ...errrrr... moist county.
