Where is Bud from BudBuilt

Hey, I found Bud. He was on a mini vaction and just got back to his shop this afternoon. I got my order in, thanks to everyone for your feedback and offers of help, greatly appreciated.


Hi, I spoke to Bud from BudBuilt last week on the phone about an order I needed to put in this week. I have been calling all week and no one has answered the phone. Does anyone know if the shop is on vacation this week or any other reason the phones are not being answered? I know you can place orders online but this one needs to be done over the phone. Thanks.
 
He is located in Lenoir, nc just behind the McDonalds on highway 18. He stays pretty busy and doesn't hardly ever have anyone there to help. Great products and a great guy but he is much better to deal with in person as you can tell he is tough to get a hold of at times.
 
Roger that, I have been calling all week, even dropped him an email. I thought maybe he went on vacation. I'm familar with his shop but it is more than 3 hours away. I got him the first time I called, I should have ordered the stuff then. I'll keep trying, thanks.
 
I'll be driving down the mountain from Boone either Monday or Tuesday, so I'll be right around there. If you haven't reached him by then, PM me a list of what you want and I'll drop your order and contact info by.
 
My BIL recently bought a set of skids from Bud for his FJC.
He had a terrible time trying to get ahold of anybody, it took weeks to get the parts, apparently there was a backorder issue but he was never told.... no replies to phone or emails... he even wanted to also buy a lift w/ it but gave up b/c it was impossible to get ahold of him.
I've personally had great dealings and support from Bud, he re-bent a crossmember for me - but the key was talking in person, he's a really nice guy but I think it's a classic case of too much work and not enough time/people to communicate.

You are correct. I spoke with him the first time I called and he was really nice. I know his products are very good so I'll keep trying until I get though.
 
Dude has 9 kids. I've met him several times and wheeled with him a few. Very nice guy.

No wonder he works all the time :lol:
 
Ditto on Bud being wicked busy. I stop by his place every other week or so and the place is always cranking out product usually with only one or two people in the shop. With people going back to school, etc he is short staffed even more. Unfortunately he does have to rely on a lot of other people having their shooiit together too which sometimes results in unschedule backups...Powder Coater, lazer guy, metal suppliers etc. I've known him for years and bought a lot of stuff from him and will continue to, his product is worth the wait.
 
If I need somethin from Bud, I usually just ride up to the shop (1 hour ride). 9 times out of 10, he is up to his neck in work.

If you ever need anything else let me know.. I live 5 minutes from his shop..SUPER nice guy and SUPER busy :)
