I was wondering where some of you went to look for jobs. I feel like I've been rather lucky to not have to go through a layoff or anything of the sort untill now. I just got my hours cut to 20 hrs per week and they are trying to put me on "attached Unemployment" which will not really be much at all. I am a Graphic Designer for mainly the Motorsports Market but I have lettered Signs/Banners/Company trucks and tons more since I was 15 years old. I am trying to stay in the field seeing that after the summer semester I will finally have a degree with 10 years of Design Experience. I am sorry that I'm going on about my situation, I know alot of people are in a lot worse of a predicament than I am in. I'm just trying to find a couple sites to look for jobs. Going through NCESC isn't really helping me out to much. Looks like I might have to take a job I dont want untill something else comes up.

Thanks for all the help guys.. sorry to rant on.. lol

yea i know man.. like i said.. i have never been put in this situation so im like "wtf should i do"

I am going to be busy at home for a while. Racing season is starting up soon and we normally letter about 55 dirt track cars per season. The business is my dad's though, not mine. My normal 40 hr a week job is where im losing my hours.. My dad was laid off in may of 2009 from Thomasville Furniture (winston salem factory) so he is going to be wanting to do alot of the work himself. Its just all around shitty right now for alot of people.

NC and SC are pretty depressed right now. Better off looking elsewhere.

I got lucky and recently landed a job down in Georgia, will be moving in a couple of weeks. I don't know your personal situation (I am a single guy who's biggest responsibility is to NOT get arrested and to call my grandma once a week) but either way, moving is probably what you need to prepare for.

I think TN is doing pretty good as well, might want to look there. Also TN is pretty awesome, that helps. VA is doing alright as well, if I recall correctly. Everything above VA is screwed.

yea good luck findin a job around these parts, and finding one that pays good better yet

maybe I should have specified.. I know where all the jobs are (in the more populated cities).. I was just wanting to know if there were some websites that seemed to be good for locating a job. Ive tried but definently not anyone hiring around winston salem for sign production/motorsports design. I would love to be able to relocate right now, but I am a student in night school Monday through Thursday nights at FTCC.

I currently do work in Greensboro though. Which is an hour drive from my house

Good luck man. It's hard out there right now. I've been working full time at my uncle's shop since I graduated high school and I'm getting paid pretty good so I lucked up! Once again, good luck!

^roflmao..

thanks man!

I think my Dad and I are going in halves on a Wrap Machine.. hopefully it will bring in some more money for the time being.. i really dont want to work for him forever though, well atleast as my main income..
